A Creature was Stirring is the Christmas themed episode of the TV series, R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series. The episode was first aired on the Hub Network on December 25, 2010, along side the episode, "The Dead Body".
A family is lacking in Christmas spirit, all little Timmy wants is for his family to be together, but his older brother and sister always argue, and his Parents are on the edge of getting a divorce.
On Christmas day, Timmy gets a mysterious present under the tree, and inside is a scaly green winged monster, that sets their house on fire, the family hides from the creature in the attic, since the exits are all completely snowed in.
The family manages to escape from the burning house, and Timmy sees that his Christmas wish had come true, because this experience has brought his family closer together.
The last scene of the episode shows Santa Claus in a limo, he picks up the creature, and drops off Timmy's letter to him.
- The title of the episode is a reference to the line, "Not a Creature was Stirring" in the poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas"
- The creature's presents is similar to the way Krampus is summond.
