Santa's reindeer are animals that pull his sleigh through the sky on Christmas Eve. They are said to live with him at the North Pole. According to the myth, it is Santa's magic that lets his reindeer fly.

The first 8 Reindeer were named by Clement Clarke Moore in his poem, Twas the Night Before Christmas. In the poem, Dooner was called Dunder and Blitzen was named Blixen. These were later changed. Rudolph was first named in 1939 by Robert L. May.
